Andy Scott Impola, 31, Independence Township man who was injured in a fireworks-related explosion and fire July 4, has died.
Impola was injured along with his brother, Lee Impola, when the Lancaster Lakes apartment maintenance shed they were in exploded and burned. Lee remains hospitalized.
Andy, a maintenance man for Lancaster Lakes, was pulled from the burning shed by residents, and suffered severe burns.
The’Sheriff’s Office, Independence Township Fire Department and the’ATF’are continuing the investigation, and police are requesting that anyone possessing illegal fireworks turn them in to’a local’police agency’or fire department’as they are very dangerous.
