Man pulls weapon on cop

On Friday, April 25 a 42-year-old Waterford man became violent when seeking treatment at a medical center in Clarkston, pulling a weapon on a Waterford Police Department officer.
Medical personnel had informed the man, the Waterford Police Department would have to come to the center to fill out a report on the man’s injuries he had sustained in an assault. The man became belligerent and left the building.
Waterford police found the man in his vehicle in the parking lot. A police officer asked the man to exit the car twice, when he pointed, what was at the time thought to be a pistol, at the officer. With gun drawn, the officer ordered the man to drop his weapon or he would be fired upon. The man complied.
It was later found the weapon was actually a handheld cross bow. An arrow was found on the floor of the vehicle.
The man was arrested for use and possession of crack cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon, and felonious assault.
