Robin Sullivan, a radio show host on 103.5 FM, WMUZ, will be the guest speaker at the Ladies Advent Tea Celebration Brunch, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Dec. 6, at Lakeview Community Church, 10023 S. State Road, Goodrich.
Sullivan will be accompanied by two other women in presenting ‘Mary Christmas.?
‘It’s about a woman who has a tree in every room in her home, everything is decorated, she lives for Christmas,? said Sullivan. ‘It segues into her meeting Mary, the mother of Jesus, and weaved into the story is also Mary Magdalene. At the core of the whole story is all three lost Christmas? Mary lost focus on the meaning, Mary the mother lost Jesus in the temple, and Mary Magdalene is just plain lost.?
The presentation is about an hour long and is done in a fun and carefree way, Sullivan adds, yet in a solemn way, presents the true meaning of Christmas. Interspersed into the skit are Christmas carols including ‘Mary Did You Know,? ‘Where Are You Christmas?? and ‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.?
‘I hope they are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas and find great fun in it,? said Sullivan. ‘It’s OK to enjoy Christmas, but let’s not lose the meaning of why Jesus came… I make it fun because God is fun? it’s all good. Bring a friend, I look forward to enjoying time together.?
Sullivan has been a host on the Christian radio station for 31 years and has been presenting ‘Mary Christmas? at various venues for the past five years.
