Ortonville- Phyllis McCaffrey is thrilled to be the new Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance caseworker.
‘My forte is working with children and their families,? said McCaffrey, who began work Feb. 5 and replaces Gail Innis, who has been reassigned. ‘I’m so glad this area is pro youth assistance. It’s such a great program and a great way to help our children.?
McCaffrey, who recently moved to Oxford, just came off a year-and-a-half stint as the Mentors Plus volunteer coordinator in Pontiac. Prior to that, she was the caseworker for Troy Youth Assistance for two years. She has been with Oakland County Youth Assistance for nine years.
McCaffrey says she is looking forward to meeting members of the community, seeing what the needs in the area are, and working with the BGYA board to implement new programs.
