Clarkston State Bank recently appointed Rebecca McGovern to the position of commercial loan officer.
McGovern started her career two years ago with Clarkston State Bank as commercial credit analyst II, where she underwrote new loan requests and renewals.
Within a year, she was appointed portfolio manager, for the Commercial Lending department.
A year later, McGovern received the promotion to commercial loan officer and is currently working at the Main Street office of Clarkston State Bank.
McGovern is currently achieving her Masters of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.
She graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in December, 2003.
She is actively involved in the Clarkston community as a board member and Treasurer of ‘Christmas in Action? of Oakland County and Clarkston Coalition for Youth.
Clarkston State Bank opened in January 1999 and operates four branches in Clarkston, Waterford and Independence Township.
The bank is the recipient of the Waterford ‘Business of the Year? Award and Voted the ‘Best of the Best? Bank in Clarkston in the People’s Choice Awards in 2007.
