In your mind, what are the biggest issues the next township board will face?
I believe the biggest issues the next township board will face will be the proposed expansion of township hall, water rates, road conditions and safety. I plan to take a proactive approach to all of these issues by opposing the township hall expansion, freezing the water rates, actively working directly with the road commission and supporting the millages for both the police and fire departments.
Why are you running for clerk?
I am running for clerk because of the passion I have to serve and represent the Lake Orion community. I know with my experience and knowledge of what our citizens truly want that I will be able to accurately represent the public and lead us into future. The township needs someone who will listen to his or her needs and lead this community.

In your mind, what are the biggest issues the next township board will face?
Orion Township is in great financial condition. We must remain fiscally responsible to maintain our sound financial position in light of a declining economy. Other issues include finding affordable solutions regarding road improvements and conducting a careful study to determine if a water storage facility is in the best interest of the community. In addition, we must continue to support programs for youth and seniors. Technology usage must be enhanced to provide services online.
Why are you running for clerk?
Working for Orion Township for the past 20 years has provided an overall perspective on important issues facing our community. I will use the experience and knowledge gained over the past two decades to continue to serve with excellence. I work with state and local agencies daily and understand how to effectively get the job done. I have the experience needed to ensure the clerk’s department continues to provide excellent service to the people.
