Brandon Schools is hosting two locations for their annual Meet Up and Eat Up program. Meals will be available for pick-up on Mondays and Thursdays, and include lunch and breakfast.
“The Summer Food Service Program (Meet Up and Eat Up) has two locations to ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer vacation, when they don’t have access to breakfast and lunch at school,” said Monica Genslak, food service director at Brandon Schools. “Students need the fuel that healthy meals provide to continue learning throughout the summer.”
The locations are at the Sashabaw Meadows Community Center, 4359 Dogwood Blvd., Clarkston, and Harvey Swanson Elementary, 209 Varsity Dr., Ortonville. Curbside pickup will be available from 10 a.m.-noon.
Free meals will be provided to children 18 and younger and persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by the state or local public educational agency.
