Police are seeking the help of the community in locating a Brandon Township man.
Timothy Robert Burch, 54, disappeared sometime between June 24 and July 2 from his home in the 1800 block of Lake Pointe, his wife told deputies when she filed the missing person report on July 6.
The couple has split up due to an unstable relationship and they were also losing the house they shared to foreclosure, so she moved out. When she returned to the home to get more of her personal belongings, she found a note Burch had addressed to their 16-year-old daughter, leaving to her a truck and some money. The truck, a 2005 blue Chevy Silverado, is also gone.
Foul play is not suspected, however, there is some concern he may try to harm himself, as his wife said he has threatened in the past that if she ever divorced him, she would never see him again.
Several family members and friends have been contacted and have not heard from Burch, who is white, about 5?10? and 165 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Local hospitals, airports, and jails have also been contacted, with no results. The Tawas City Police Department has been alerted, as Burch was born and raised there and still has contacts in the area.
Burch may be driving the 2005 blue Chevy Silverado, license plate number BQE-1216. Information please call 1-888-TURN-1-IN.
