Two more deputies will be added to the Orion substation of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department next year.
The board authorized contracting for additional afternoon and midnight shift deputies at their Nov. 20 meeting.
Money has been budgeted in 2007 to cover the costs using the current millage. It is the first increase of the OCSD contract in Orion since 2001.
