More upgrades in dispatch

People visiting the Lake Orion Police Department can’t help but notice that a large dispatch window has been installed right next to the back door.
The door leading into the police department will also have a locking system that dispatchers will use to allow people to enter the main police area.
Now the booking room will be remodeled. It will contain a new county-wide photo and booking system.
According to LO Police Chief Jerry Narsh, this system is being installed in police departments throughout Oakland County. This project has been underway for over a year.
Narsh said there will be no cost to the village for the installation or the equipment. It’s a grant funded project. The upgrade is expected to cost $3,120.
