Clarkston Everest Collegiate defeated Dearborn Star International on Oct. 4, 54-6
Lucas Neme opened the scoring with a 44-yard touchdown run. He was the leading rusher with 68 yards on four carries and one touchdown. Isaiah Hellner rushed the ball for 56 yards on four carries.
Sal Mastromatteo was 3-for-7 on passing for 59 Yards and three touchdowns. Elliot Fenske was the leading receiver with one reception for 22 yards.
The Mountaineers went on to beat Mayville, 42-12. Fenske and Ben Bellestri opened the scoring – both with touchdowns in the first quarter. Bellestri scored three for the day.
Neme was the leading rusher on 11 carries for 162 yards with one touchdown. Bellestri ran 67 yards on 11 carries.
Mastromatteo threw 3-for-8 in passing for 75 yards. Noah Beauchamp caught one of the passes for 36 yards and Bellestri was a receiver on another for 34 yards.
They lost to Memphis on Saturday, 19-14.
Bellestri opened the game on a 3-yard touchdown yard before Memphis scored on three touchdown.
Bellestri scored the final touchdown for Everest on a 1-yard run. Fenske was 2-for-2 for the day in PATs.
Everest is now 6-2. They host the University Liggett High School Knights this Friday at 7 p.m.
