Neighbors of a Fairview Street woman were not too appreciative of her tastes in music after they called the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department to complain on July 20.
According to an OCSD report, a deputy arrived at the 38-year-old Fairview woman’s home and reported hearing loud music coming from inside. He said as he approached the home, the music was turned up louder. He saw the woman standing in her kitchen holding the stereo remote control and a beer.
The deputy told the woman they had had six noise complaints called in from the area, one from as far away as Pine Tree. The woman was asked to turn the music off, which she did after being asked to more than once.
The woman was cited for disorderly person and told she could not play her music so loud that it interfered with her neighbors.
