Myslakowski Vs. Wilson in election

It will be Democrat Daniel Myslakowski versus Republican Eric Wilson on the June 17 general election ballot for Oakland County Commissioner, District 3.
Voters in Oakland and Orion Townships went to the polls on May 12 to vote in the primary election to find a replacement for former District 3 Commissioner Larry Obrecht. Obrecht resigned in March to take over Oakland County Animal Control.
In the primary, Wilson led the republicans with 920 votes (34.47 percent) total for 22 precincts in Orion and Oakland. The rest of the Republican vote broke down with Steve Drakos following with 863 votes (32.33 percent), Niles Olson with 481 votes (18.02 percent), Doug Brown with 341 votes (12.78 percent), and Delores Puroll-Myslakowski with 64 votes (2.40 percent).
Daniel Myslakowski led the Democrats with 173 votes (47.14 percent), and was followed by Dan Dewey with 82 votes (22.34 percent). Kevin Laidler had 58 votes (15.80 percent), while J. Robert Tribula got 54 votes (14.71 percent).
Out of 32,072 voters in Oakland and Orion Townships, 3,112 went to the polls for the special election primary, for a voter turnout of less than 10 percent.
