The North Area Citizens Conference since 1987 has been working at a local level with government agencies and individuals to further sound land development. NACC is active in Oakland and Lapeer Counties.
Members of the NACC recently determined that to be successful, they would need to move on to regional/state levels.
When learning about the Sporting Land Alliance and its scope of activity, NACC members decided to merge with the Rochester organization.
NACC has chapters in Orion, Oxford, Addison, Brandon, Metamora Townships.
SLA is comprised of sporting clubs, organizations and individuals who work closely with the DNR, federal, state and local agencies to preserve and manage public and private lands.
