The following events are planned at area churches for the ‘National Day of Prayer? on May 4.
? Breakfast at St. Daniel Catholic Church from 7?9 a.m. where leaders from various areas of the community will offer prayers. The guest speaker is Thomas Lynch who is an essayist, poet and funeral director. Reservations or walk-in welcome. To pre-register for breakfast call 248-625-2325, ext. 150.
? Noon prayer at the Independence Township offices on Main Street. Prayer will be lead by Pastor David Coleman of Clarkston Free Methodist Church.
? Evening of prayer at Calvary Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Experience by candlelight the beautiful Holden Village Evening Prayer service. Explore ways to deepen your prayer life, using multi-sensory prayer stations. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church is located at 6805 Bluegrass Drive.
