Netters drop second

GOODRICH- The Lady Martians went down a notch in the volleyball pole on Feb. 12, as LakeVille cleaned-up to take a three game win.
The Martians got off to a good start, winning the first set 15-7, but poor unity on the court aided their defeat as they dropped the next two games 2-15, 2-15.
In the defeat, Natalie McCormick served 10-for-10 with two aces, while both Denica Brooks and Julie Owen went eight for eight in serving. Rebecca Scott tallied five for six.
Scott also recorded some good numbers in the backcourt going 20 for 24 in passing, with 15 digs.
Christina Saindon was six for six in passing with seven digs, while McCormick went eight for nine, with six digs.
Scott and McCormick got up on some action as well; Scott recorded four kills, while McCormick got one.
Lisa Shaw set for two assists, while Owen set for five. Tara Garman recorded three blocks.
The Martians faced off at Bentley on Feb. 19, however, no scores were available by press time.
