Ortonville? Village Manager Paul Zelenak says the third annual ‘Movie Night? is still rolling but a new movie company is needed.
Zelenak wants to continue the annual event he started in 2003 near H.T. Burt and Harvey-Swanson elementaries.
The movie supplier, SWATTEAM Productions of Madison Heights, had charged around $3,000 to supply the equipment and show the movie. Private donations have made the movie free for citizens.
‘I think it’s a great community event,? Zelenak said. ‘Without the donations and support it couldn’t happen.?
Zelenak plans to have a committee meeting next month to see if there is interest in keeping movie night and will begin contacting companies to find out the cost of equipment and when a movie showing could be scheduled. Details (248) 627-4976.
