No Brandon Township Planning Commission meeting Jan. 15 scheduled

To the editor:
In your Jan. 5 publication, a letter to the editor by Elaine Glowniak from Groveland Township was printed encouraging residents to attend a Jan. 15 Brandon Township Planning Commission meeting (‘Attend township planning commission meeting,? The Citizen, Jan. 5, page 7)
There is no Brandon Township Planning Commision meeting Jan. 15.
The Jan.15 meeting referred to is a scheduled public hearing organized by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and originally requested by Ron Lapp, Brandon Township supervisor, to accept public comment regarding an application by the Silverman Group to fill two tenths of an acre of regulated wetland on M-15. The meeting will be held at the Old Town Hall in the Village of Ortonville, beginning at 7 p.m.
The subject property located adjacent to the new Long Lake Village residential development and is zoned local commercial. To date, the site plan for the commercial development has not been approved by the Brandon Township Planning Commission.
Any and all of information regarding Brandon Township Planning Commision schedules, site plan, and development information may be obtained by a simple phone call. (248) 627-4916, or visit to the Township Planning and Building Department.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
