The Orion Art Center is hosting the ninth annual Joan Brace Scholarship Competition May 9th through June 2nd.
Graduating Seniors from Orion and all surrounding districts, who will be majoring in an art related field, are invited to enter three art pieces in any medium for the competition.
Student art drop off dates are May 2-5 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Opening reception and award night is Wednesday, May 9 at the center.
The scholarship is named after prominent artist and founding member Joan Brace, who believed that helping aspiring artists to succeed was of utmost importance.
To date, the scholarship program has awarded over $20,000 to area students.
