Brandon Twp.- The township board unanimously approved a resolution for the Brandon Fire Department to participate in the Oakland County Mutual Aid Association.
The resolution means the township will be in a coalition with other fire departments to help each other with technical rescues, including trench collapse, hazardous materials, confined spaces, and rope rescues.
‘It will make the township safer,? said Fire Chief Bob McArthur.
‘We will get the most qualified people in Oakland County immediately. We don’t have to pay to train our entire department or for the equipment (for technical rescues).?
