Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard and Absolute Shreds-Mobile Shredding Service are teaming up to offer Oakland County residents free document shredding on Sept. 18.
The free shredding will be from 9-10 a.m., at the Oakland County Sheriff’s office, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Building 38 E., northeast corner of the intersection of Telegraph and County Center Drive East in Pontiac.
Residents are limited to 3-4 boxes, including the following materials: paper (white or colored), file folders, staples and paper clips, plastic ID cards, empty prescription bottles, disk drives, carbon paper, CDs, microfilm and microfiche.
Hazardous materials, syringes/needles, or any heavy metal objects such as nuts, bolts or metal plates can not be destroyed.
