The Food Network is about to get some serious competition from Oxford Community Television (OCTV). Last week, the first installment of a brand new 30-minute cooking show entitled ‘Connie’s Kitchen? was taped at the 5,000-square-foot Treetop Lodge on Jonathan Rd. in Dryden Township (Oxford mailing). The show is hosted by Oxford Village resident Connie Miller, who manages the lodge and operates a catering business. Miller takes viewers step by step through easy-to-follow recipes, while offering helpful tips along the way. Miller shows viewers how, instead of just grabbing hamburgers or ordering a pizza, they can transform ordinary ingredients into extraordinary dishes that are both nutritious and delicious. ‘All it takes is a little effort and imagination,? she said. ‘Connie’s Kitchen? will begin airing at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1. It will air regularly at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. OCTV is Channel 191 for Charter cable subscribers and Channel 99 for viewers with AT&T U-verse. Photo by C.J. Carnacchio.
