Township engineering firm Orchard, Hiltz and McCliment is providing geographic information system (GIS) support services to Orion Township for at least 13 weeks.
Trustees approved contracting with OHM on May 17, for up to 13 weeks at an amount not to exceed $10,920, per a January 2004 proposal from OHM. The board agreed to hire OHM after receiving an opinion from the township attorney saying there was not a conflict of interest due to an OHM representative having sat in on the GIS interviews.
The board asked that building and grounds director Reenae Tulip report back to them on the status of the work.
