The snow is ending and golf season is almost upon us!
The Clarkston Area Optimist Club is once again sponsoring a Junior Golf Qualifier for boys and girls ages 10-18 on May 7 at Liberty Golf Course.
The entry fee is $50 and registration deadline is April 28.
Winners and qualifiers in each category will advance to the district tournament on June 19 and 20 (36 holes for ages 14-18) at Davison Country Club. Those who qualify will continue on to the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
This is an entry level qualifier ? and the first competitive match for many of the young golfers. All participants must have a working knowledge of the game, including course management. There will be no on-site lessons given.
