The Ortonville Fireworks are scheduled for dusk July 3 at the Brandon Middle School, 609 Ortonville Road. A rain date is dusk on July 4. Brandon Fire Chief David Kwapis recommends arriving early, since parking at Brandon High School will be limited this year.
‘In the past the high school softball and soccer fields were open to fireworks viewing; that will change this year,? he said. ‘The fields will be locked up’it was necessary to expand the safety zone from the fireworks launching site between the high school and middle school.?
Kwapis said CERT members will be directing traffic for the 30-minute fireworks show. Concessions will be available, with proceeds to benefit BrandonTownship Parks and Recreation.
