Theresa Woody, Michigan DNR safety instructor, presents an ORV Safety Class for children under age 16 who ride dirt-bikes, quads, (4-wheelers) or other ATV’s. According to Michigan Law, in order for a person under 16 years of age to ride on any of the public trails in Michigan, a class must be attended and certificate received. Children as young as 6 can take the class.
The class is book-work only, there is no riding involved, nor need to bring vehicles.
A class will be Thursday, July 2, 4-8 p.m. at Bass Pro Shop in Great Lakes Crossing – 4500 Baldwin Road, Auburn Hills, in the archery range.
Pre-registration is required. $25 fee per student with family discount available.
Parents are encouraged to attend (free of charge).
