Brandon Twp.— The Brandon Blackhawks Girls Varsity Basketball team fell to the Owosso Trojans 64-36 on Jan. 9 in a Flint Metro League match-up.
BHS Sr. #14 Riley Abney tossed in 20 points along with BHS Frosh. #1 Ella Rizzo with six. For the Trojans, Danica Dwyer had 24 points and six boards.
“Tough night for the Blackhawks, started off strong, but faded late,” said Head Coach Chris Rivers.  “As we continue to build the culture and mindset of our team, we are getting through growing pains. I am confident the team will take a turn for the better.  Another strong outing for Riley Abney leading us with 20 points.”
