Oxford cheer takes 4th at FML tournament

The Oxford Varsity girl’s competitive cheer team placed 4th out of nine at last Wednesday’s first Flint Metro League competition at home.
In round one, the girls scored 186, round two’s various gymnastics skills brought them a 179.97 and round three’s stunting got them 267 points.
On Saturday, the girls traveled to Armada and took 2nd Place. The scores were 195 in round one, 179.9 in round two and 267 in round three.
‘It was a great turn around from the beginning of the season,? said Coach Alanna Stockley. ‘We are getting more comfortable with our routines and keep working hard and improving each week.? The girls will travel to Northville for a competition this Saturday.
