JOB OPENING FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Oxford Downtown Development Authority’s (the ‘DDA?) mission is dedicated to the physical and economic development of our downtown with emphasis on preserving its historical heritage. Through the continued review of our Master Plan the mission will be accomplished by 1) improving and maintaining a solid and user-friendly pedestrian infrastructure; (2) marketing Downtown Oxford as a destination offering consumers and businesses the appeal of beautifully restored Victorian and complementary vintage styled buildings and; (3) offering free public parking behind each of the four quadrants of the downtown along with on-street parking lining the boulevard street and; 4) encouraging preservation of Oxford’s downtown.
To help fulfill its mission, the DDA wishes to hire an individual (an “Applicant”) that has the qualifications and experience to provide ongoing Downtown District Management and Economic Development Services / Activities. The DDA Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, directing, coordinating and performing of the activities associated with the DDA Plan and renewal of our Main Street? program. The oversight activities are to be done with an emphasis on downtown revitalization within the context of historic preservation and economic development.
The DDA Executive Director/Main Street? Program Manager functions with considerable independence on a day to day basis in performing in job related activities and is held accountable for results. The employee has responsibility for a broad range of functions including but not limited to:
? Potential Implementation of the Main Street? program
? Support of the DDA Plan activities with Village Department Heads, Village Manager and Chamber of Commerce.
? Representation of the Main Street’program within the community as well as regionally and nationally
The budget/salary $49,900 per year + benefits (Annual At Will Contract with annual review)
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
