Monday, December 21 – A reckless driver was reported on Synder.
*Two bikes were found on S. Washington. Police held onto the bikes until the end of the day to see if anyone claimed them.
*Someone tried to hand in a forged prescription at an establishment on S. Washington.
*Police did a building check on N. Washington. They found a box and four windows opened in a back lot. The windows were closed and secured.
*On E. Drahner, a woman called police because she believed someone could have been at her front door.
Sunday, December 20 – An abandoned vehicle was found on Conda Lane. A truck was parked on the lawn next to a tree and no one was around.
*An officer reported an abandoned vehicle on W. Burdick.
*A caller reported that a vehicle was parked in a no parking spot on Oakwood.
*A caller reported that his dog was struck by a vehicle and that the vehicle fled the scene.
*An officer called the Fire Department for a possible alcohol poisoning during a suspicious vehicle traffic stop.
*A male in a orange Grand AM, four doors and with a sun roof, entered the parking lot of Rzadkowolski’s Oil Change on Lapeer Road and took a brown Boston Terrier and left the area. Witnesses stated that the man whistled many times to gain the dogs attention, and when the dog came close by, the male snatched it, put it in his car and quickly exited south on M-24 before turning around and heading north. Witnesses also claim that the man did not attempt to talk to anyone on site. The dog was wearing a collar that was valued at $325. The lot the dog was taken from had video surveillance and the abduction was caught on tape. The dog was found two days later to be in Ohio.
Saturday, December 19 – An abandoned vehicle was found on Woodleigh Way. The owner was contacted and he said he would move the vehicle.
*A car hit a deer on W. Burdick.
*Entry was gained to a Dodge Ram on N. Washington where the owner was locked out.
Friday, December 18 – An officer found a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Lakeville Rd and Bay Pointe. The driver stated he thought he saw someone walking in the road. Nothing was found.
*An officer found in intoxicated male in the parking lot on S. Washington and W. Burdick. They gave the subject a ride home.
*An officer found two subjects in the backseat of a car in a parking lot and wanted to make sure they were ok. Everything was.
*Officers found an intoxicated male walking along E. Burdick and S. Washington. They took him home.
Thursday, December 17 – Police spoke to a driver of a pickup about reckless driving on S. Washington.
*A disorderly conduct was issued after police were called when a manager of a business on S. Washington was arguing outside with an intoxicated male who refused to leave. An officer transported the man home.
*A potential break-in was reported on Crawford. Police checked and discovered that the owners lost their keys and were trying to get in.
Wednesday, December 16 – An elderly female called police saying that she was trying to get in touch with her landlord because her apartment was at 20 degrees. An officer went to her apartment, and saw that it read 72 degrees. The officer explained that she was reading the Celsius side.
*A caller reported that threats were being made against him and his family because he broke a lease with a girl. Her baby’s daddy was upset and making threats.
*A female filed a report but didn’t want to press charges. Her boyfriend accused her of stealing some of his things and proceeded to spit on her and put her in a headlock.
Tuesday, December 15 – An elementary student reported that while he was walking home from school, an unknown driver in a maroon vehicle pulled up to him and took his photo. The student did not recognize the driver or the car and reported it to his parents and his principal.
*A Christmas tree was taken from a home on Hovey.
*An officer found a vehicle and a man at the intersection of Glaspie and Broadway. The man was from AT&T and was testing cell phone towers.
