Oxford senior softball team wins championship

The Oxford Senior Mens Softball team that plays in the Northwest Parks and Recreation Association league recently won the 2015 Division CO Playoff championship with a 4-1 record in the playoffs and by winning three games on the final day of the tournament knocking of Clarkston and then undefeated Rochester twice.
They finished the regular season in second place, one game out of first place.
The Oxford Senior team won Division and Playoff titles in 2012, 2013 along with the Playoff Title in 2015.
The Oxford team which is sponsored by the Oxford Parks and Recreation department along and Health Quest of Oxford Physical Therapy and the 24th Street Tavern has been in the league since 2006 and now has won five titles in the last four years.
The team record in 2015 was 22-9 and finished the season winning nine out of their last 10 games.
Oxford participated against multiple teams from West Bloomfield, Rochester, Clarkston, Waterford and Oak Park including crossover games in the higher B Division of the league.
The Oxford team averaged 14 runs per game while giving up 10 runs per game to their opponents.
Members of the team included, Vinnie Adragna, Doug Dalton, Alan Hafeli, Larry Jansen, Rich Katich, Curt Kowalski, Bill Marino, Mike Neymanowski, Jim Rose, Gary Terenzi, Rand Kulkis, Jerry Hoffman, CJ Cross, Dave Cunningham, Rick Ihrke and John Calkins.
The team was managed by John Calkins and assisted by Vinny Adragna and our official score keeper was Jean Terenzi.
