Oxford students in Ford/AAA contest

Oxford High School seniors Devon Hickmott and Nathaniel Lamothe, both 17, qualified to compete against eight other teams in the Ford/AAA Auto Skills State Finals Contest on April 28 at Macomb Community College Exposition Center.
The seniors placed in the top 10 among 42 competing teams from across the state who took a written test of automotive knowledge, skill and aptitude. At the state level competition, the two OHS automotive technicians will be faced with a ‘bugged? Ford vehicle.
Those placing at the state competition with qualify for college scholarships and other prizes. If Hickmott and Lamothe place first at states, the team will earn a spot in the national finals at Ford Motor Company’s World Headquarters in Dearborn on June 29.
