Oxford Township resident wakes up to discover unknown male in den

Oxford Township – Oakland County Sheriff Deputies responded to a home invasion call on Tanview after the homeowner stumbled upon an unknown male in his den during the early morning hours on Tuesday, March 15.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., the homeowner woke up and went down to his den where he discovered the suspect. The homeowner then reached out and grabbed the suspect, who was carrying a back pack. The suspect proceeded to run from the home on foot and cut through several backyards while attempting to flee the area.
However, the suspect’s backpack was left behind.
Oakland County K-9 units tracked the suspect for approximately 30 minutes, covering nearly a half-mile, but were unable to locate him.
The homeowner informed the deputies nothing appeared to be missing from his residence. Deputies could not find any foresnic evidence at the scene.
The suspect is listed as a white male in his late teens or early twenties, approximately five-feet 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothes with a baseball hat.
