Independence Township Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for the Start Smart Program.
This is a six-week program in which parents work one-on-one with their child in a supportive environment to learn all the basic skills of a sport.
Start Smart will offer soccer and baseball and the opportunity to play outdoors.
Classes will begin July 8 and will be every Tuesday. The classes are open to children ages 3-5.
