A couple on Shadbolt Street has received permission to install pavers on a section of Village owned land between the sidewalk and the road edge in front of their home.
Kim Yamasaki told village council members on Sept. 8 it would be much easier for him and his wife Maria to keep the area free of snow in the winter. He said it would considerably improve the appearance of the front yard area of their home.
The Yamasakis agreed that the pavers would be placed a minimum of 20 feet east of the eastern edge of the north/south sidewalk at Anderson/Shadbolt and also be placed a minimum two feet south of the southern edge of the east/west sidewalk along Shadbolt.
The area is in the public right of way and may be used for parking by anyone.
