Folks with pets usually have plenty of photographs of them posted on their Facebook pages and sitting in frames.
A local veterinarian is seeking copies of them to adorn his new office.
Dr. Richard Bell, owner of the Bell Veterinary Clinic, is asking folks to submit good quality photos of their dogs and cats.
He’ll pick the best ones, enlarge and frame them, then use them to decorate the walls of his new Oxford clinic, which is expected to open by the end of October.
‘It’s kind of an icebreaker, so to speak,? said the doctor’s wife, Wendy Bell, who manages the practice. ‘We thought it would be neat to have clients, or prospective clients, send in their pictures to open up (the lines of) communication with them.?
Practicing in Metamora since 2001, Bell is preparing to open a second clinic with 3,000 square feet of space at 845 S. Lapeer Rd. in Oxford Township.
‘Our office now is pretty small. We have two exam rooms,? Wendy said. ‘Down there (in Oxford), we will have four exam rooms.?
‘The doctor’s always wanted a second location,? she continued. ‘We are so busy here in our Metamora office. About 20 to 22 percent of our clients come from the Oxford area. We’re hoping it’s going to take some of the weight off of Metamora.?
Pet photographs can be e-mailed to bellvetoxford@bellvet.net. Action photos and ‘adorable poses? are preferred. Please send them as jpeg files.
‘We’d like to get (photos of) dogs and cats because that’s who we service,? Wendy noted. ‘We plan to expand, but at this point, we’re canine/feline only.?
Folks who submit photos that get selected will receive a special gift.
Exactly how many photos will be used has not been determined. ‘We haven’t chosen a magic number yet,? Wendy said.
She envisions having a rotating gallery of cute pet photos to greet and comfort clients.
‘Maybe 10 at a time, depending on how many we get,? Wendy said. ‘I’m assuming we are going to get quite a few.?
