Picking a president

They aren’t old enough to vote yet, but students at Waldon Middle School were still able to take part in this year’s General Election on Nov. 2, by holding their own mock presidential election at the school. Students had to register to vote and show their IDs to cast a ballot. The school’s STAR classes were given electoral votes with which to chose a president, in addtion to the school’s popular vote. The students voted during their social studies classes.The President of the United States, both as decided by Waldon students, was announced at the school on Nov. 3.
