Brandon Twp.— During the regular Monday night meeting, the Brandon Township board of trustees voted 7-0 to approve the appointment of Joseph Harris to the planning commission beginning July 11, 2023 and ending July 31, 2026.
The position was previously held by Joseph Dean.
“Mr. Dean has retired from the planning commission,” said Supervisor Jayson Rumball. “We needed a new member, and Joe Harris, who is our current ordinance enforcement officer, is obviously very aware of our issues that come up in the township.”
According to the motion, Harris has previously expressed interest in serving on the planning commission, and stated he was interested in this position.
Harris will still be the ordinance enforcement officer for the township.
