Police at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Independence Township substation are waiting for autopsy results following the death of a 43-year-old Clarkston man on Feb. 23 at his Maybee Road residence.
According to Detective Lonnie Mullins, nothing appeared suspicous following the man’s death, but the results from the autopsy performed on Feb. 24 are needed before the official cause of death is determined.
According to police reports, the man’s mother called 911 after she noticed he was not breathing following her return from a hair appointment around 1:20 p.m.
The mother originally tried to wake her son around 8:30 a.m. She thought nothing to be out of the ordinary after he did not wake because he often took sleeping medication.
Shortly after trying to wake him, the woman left the house returning around 10:45 a.m. As stated in reports, she thought he had moved since the last time she saw him.
