Police seek info in storage unit break-in

Goodrich – Police are asking the community’s help in tracking a fence-cutting thief who left footprints behind.
On May 24, Atlas Township deputies responded to a report of larceny to a storage unit in the 7000 block of South State Road after the fence was cut.
Items taken include three steel-string trimmers, boating accessories, a 15-horsepower Mercury outboard motor, a Billy Goat 33-inch 6.5-horsepower walk-behind mower, and a RedMax backpack blower, with a total estimated value of $7,500.
Police took footprint impressions from the scene, which are being studied along with surveillance tapes. The incident remains under investigation.
