Polidan honored by international association

Cari J. Polidan, Deputy Clerk of Independence Township, has been awarded the prestigious designation of ‘Certified Municipal Clerk? from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks for achieving its high educational, experience and service requirements.
Polidan has been employed with Independence Township since June 1992, serving as Elections Administrator before appointment to her current position of Deputy Clerk in May 1990. Previous municipal service includes serving with Oxford Township.
She attained this designation through completion of the IMC-approved Municipal Clerks Institute Program conducted by the state and local government programs at Michigan State University. The program provides more than 100 student/instructor contact hours of in-depth courses in managerial and leadership skills, social and interpersonal concerns and technical training needed to deal with changes taking place in government today.
Active in professional affiliations she is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks and Oakland County Clerks Association.
Polidan has been a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks since May 1999. She joins 227 active Municipal Clerks from the State of Michigan who currently hold the designation.
