The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Clintonville Road between Waldon and Pine Knob roads in Independence Township from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Saturday, July 26, so a culvert can be installed under the road.
The culvert is intended to reduce the likelihood of the road flooding in this area.
During the closure, the detour route for through traffic will be Pine Knob Road to Waldon Road and back to Clintonville Road and vice versa.
During the closure, residents of homes along this section of Clintonville will be able to access their homes, but they will not be able to get through the section where the culvert is being installed (just south of Waldon).
If work is not completed on Saturday, or if weather is inclement on Saturday, the work may take place or continue on Sunday, July 27.
