The Orion Township Board has set Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. as the date and time for its truth-in-budgeting public hearing.
State statute requires the township to hold a public hearing on the proposed annual budget. In addition, the board must set millage rates for 2006 and submit them to Oakland County by the end of September.
Both the proposed 2007 budget and millage rates to be levied for 2006 will be part of the public hearing.

The City of the Village of Clarkston Planning Commission is holding a public hearing at 7 p.m. on March 6 at City Hall. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the request for the rezoning of 5-7 South Holcomb from single family residential to multiple family residential. The hearing is open to the public to voice their views or submit written comments for the commission to consider. For more information, call City Clerk Art Pappas at 248-625-1559.
