Racers rule the slopes

Analicia Honkanen was the fastest during the girls varsity ski team’s first races of the season.
She started the week finishing :47.73 in the Slalom, taking first place. The next day she took the same place but quickened her speed and finished :38.51.
Kelly Peters was the second fastest for the team and against all the teams during the Slalom. Olivia Dunn was the second fastest racer for Clarkston during the Giant Slalom and finished in 13th.
The girls won their meet against Detroit Country Day, 32-41 and lost to Cranbrook, 34-39.
The boys varsity team won both their meets last week. They defeated Detroit Country Day, 23-53, and Cranbrook, 31-42.
Grant Huber led during both meets, placing second in the Slalom and third in the Giant Slalom. Brent Vanitallie was the second leading racer, taking fifth in the Slalom and four in the Giant Slalom.
The teams race against Notre Dame Prep and Rochester Adams this week. The Slalom race was Tuesday and Giant Slalom is on Wednesday.
