LaLone, Raymond E. Age 84 of Clarkston, Michigan passed away on August 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. Ray was born to the late Roy and Anna LaLone on April 1, 1938. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy LaLone and his son Greg LaLone (Debbie) and daughter Sherry (Joe) Krug. In addition to his two children, Ray is survived by his adoring grandchildren Kayla and Taylor LaLone, Joe (Lexie) Krug, Megan (Zach) Walker, and Ellie Krug; great grandchildren: Emma and Juliette Krug and Jack and Owen Walker; siblings: Larry (Jane) LaLone, Mike (Dot) LaLone, and Nanette LaLone. Along with his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother Bob and sister Betty. Ray was in business for 65 years doing what he loved most. Ray’s business career spanned decades and Ray LaLone Well Drilling became Ray LaLone and Son Well Drilling where he worked alongside his son and best friend, Greg for the last 38 years. His family and friends will fondly remember his enduring passion for flying, tractors, hit and miss engines, steam locomotives, boating, machinery, antique cars, reading, music and Sunday afternoons spent watching the freighters in Port Huron. Beyond anything, Ray loved his family without question and his adoring family was his ultimate pride and joy. He was a devoted family man, provider, and protector. His heart knew no limits and he was bold and enterprising in all his pursuits. His laughter will forever be heard, his blue eyes will forever be seen, and the warmth of his arms will forever be felt by all who cherished him. Our lives will forever be changed because we knew, loved, and were loved by him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, 5929 S. Main St., Clarkston, Michigan. Visitation begins at 3pm with a memorial service following at 4pm.
