Readers learn a lot at camp

Andersonville Elementary students recieved a special treat for ‘March is Reading Month.?
The teachers kicked off the month on March 3 with a skit featuring this year’s theme: Camp Read-A-Lot.
During the skit, Kathy McEwen, playing a swimmer, and baseball players Angela Comp and Kristin Naughton found out they could learn a lot about their favorite sports and favorite athlete by reading books at Camp Read-A-Lot.
The school was transformed into a camp atmosphere and each hallway was decorated with different cabin themes ranging from trout to bears.
A highlight for the students was in the media center. A huge tent was placed in the room so students can lay on sleeping bags and read their favorite books.
