The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of reckless driving on S. Baldwin Road near I-75 on Feb. 10.
According to an OCSD report, an Ortonville man called and complained that a woman driving a Chevy Cavalier had nearly hit him head on. The man said the woman was driving erratically, passing other vehicles, running red lights and running oncoming traffic off the road.
The man said he had followed her from Brandon Township to Orion after she nearly hit him. When the OCSD pulled the 68-year-old Oxford woman over, she said she was in a hurry to get to work.
The woman admitted she had been driving fast and passing other vehicles, and said it was because she could not be late for work again.
