Recreation programmer resigns from township

Orion Township Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Programmer Phil Castonia has resigned after less than a year on the job.
Castonia was hired by the township to work out of the Friendship Park Recreation Support Building in November of 2002. Castonia will resign effective July 18 to take a job with the Oxford Parks and Recreation Department.
Township trustees accepted Castonia’s resignation with regrets at the July 7 meeting. The township will advertise for a new programmer, a full-time position that pays $12.08 per hour ($25,118 annually), plus benefits.
