The Orion Township Parks and Recreation Department sponsored its annual Big Rig Gig on Aug. 12 at Friendship Park.
Area kids got the chance to climb on, and even sit behind the wheel, of Orion Township Fire Department fire trucks, vehicles from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, equipment from Detroit Edison and Buckhorn Towing, to name a few.
There was also an inflatable bounce house for the children to enjoy.
The first 500 kids who came to the park at Clarkston and Baldwin Roads received a construction hat from the parks and recreation department.
