Repaving projects on Flintridge and Pine Tree will cost the township about $30,000 more than anticipated.
The added dollars, which will come from the township’s capital improvement fund (where the 2006 budget surplus is also headed), are the result of a misunderstanding with the Road Commission of Oakland County.
According to the RCOC, tri-party funding and 50/50 drainage monies cannot be used on the same project.
As a result, the project, which included $60,000 in 50/50 drainage funds, will require more township money, bringing their total to just over $290,000.
The two projects are set to go out for bid this spring.
